The Baha’i Faith is a worldwide religion based on the teachings of Baha’u’llah (1817-1892). Baha’I’s have a fundamental belief in the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Religion and the Oneness of Humanity, which Baha’i’s view as the building blocks of bringing about the unity of mankind.

Central to the idea of Oneness and Unity is the concept of progressive revelation. Bahai’s believe that God’s eternal guidance and assistance to humanity is through divine educators, which He has sent down throughout human history. Each divine educator builds on the teachings of the past and brings forth new teachings which are relevant for the advancement of the people of that time. These Divine Educators include Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad ,the Báb and Baha’u’llah. Their distinct social and spiritual teachings have all guided humanity’s efforts to advance civilization.

Baha’u’llah is the most recent in this series of Divine Educators whose purpose is the unification of mankind. Baha’u’llah taught that we should consider “..the earth is but one country and mankind it’s citizens” and “So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth”
