Becoming a baha'i

Anyone can become a Baha’i and the Ipswich Baha’i Community welcomes new members.
The process is a very personal experience that comes after individual investigation. It is a heartfelt decision to recognise Baha’u’llah as the Manifestation of God for this age, strive to live life in accordance with the Baha’i laws and teachings, and join the Baha’i community in its efforts to contribute to a better world.
Being a member of the Baha’i community entails participation in community decision-making. Adult Baha’is are eligible to vote for, and be elected to serve on, Baha’i institutions.
People who wish to become members of the Baha’i community, or learn more about the Faith can contact the Local Spiritual Assembly. The Assembly is always happy to meet individual to answer any questions they may have.
The first duty prescribed by God for His servants is the recognition of Him Who is the Dayspring of His Revelation and the Fountain of His laws, Who representeth the Godhead in both the Kingdom of His Cause and the world of creation.

Baha'i Faith
The Baha’i Faith is a worldwide religion based on the teachings of Baha’u’llah (1817-1892). Baha’I’s have a fundamental belief in the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Religion and the Oneness of Humanity, which Baha’i’s view as the building blocks of bringing about the unity of mankind.
